Starting a Wash

Power on

Press the ON/OFF button.

Pick a cycle

Choose a cycle button (see below).

Start

Press Start. The Clean light comes on when the cycle finishes.

Cycles & Options

  • Normal — the most economical cycle; best for everyday full loads.
  • Auto — sensor-controlled for mixed loads of average dirtiness.
  • Heavy — pots, pans, and stubborn baked-on food.
  • Speed60 — a faster ~1-hour wash.
  • Sanitize option adds extra-hot rinsing for higher hygiene.

AutoAir drying

The door pops open by itself during the drying phase — that's normal. For best drying, wait until the cycle fully finishes (no lights lit) before unloading.

Loading & Supplies

  • Top rack: cups, glasses, and small items (height-adjustable via RackMatic).
  • Bottom rack: pans and plates.
  • Silverware: load with sharp points down.
  • Add detergent to the dispenser and keep the rinse aid filled for better drying.

Troubleshooting

  • Dishes not clean / food left on — don't overfill or nest items, make sure the spray arms can spin freely, and clean the filter and spray-arm nozzles. Pick a more intensive cycle, and don't pre-rinse heavily (the sensor then picks a lighter cycle).
  • Dishes not dry — refill the rinse aid, use a cycle with a drying phase, and wait until the cycle fully ends (about 30 min) before unloading.
  • White film or spots — usually hard-water/detergent residue; use rinse aid and a more intensive program.
  • Excess suds or leaking — only ever use dishwasher detergent (never hand or dish soap). Wipe up any spilled rinse aid.
  • All four vertical lights are ON (drain issue) — check the drain hose isn't kinked, the garbage-disposal knockout plug is removed, and the water faucet is on / inlet filter is clear.
  • All four vertical lights are FLASHING (error) — turn it off, cut power at the plug or breaker, wait 2 minutes, then power back on. If it repeats, call for service.

First Run of the Visit

Run it during the day the first time

If you use the dishwasher, run it during the day the first time, just in case it leaks, so you'll be around to catch it. See Arriving at the Cabin and the Water System.
