Wall Thermostat — Controls

LCD Display

  • ROOM TEMP — the current room temperature.
  • Flame icon — appears when the gas fireplace flame is on; it disappears when the flame is off (not burning).
  • SET — appears when the unit is in thermostat mode.

Keys

ON / UP key

Pressing ON turns the flame on. If the SET thermostat is on, the flame turns off once it reaches the set temperature. For a continuous flame, disable thermostat mode first.

OFF / DOWN key

Pressing OFF turns the gas fireplace flame off, and also turns off the SET thermostat mode if it's on.

SET button — set the thermostat

Press SET — the temperature digits will flash. Press ON to raise or OFF to lower the set temperature. Press SET again and the word SET appears on the display.

Disabling Thermostat Mode

To disable thermostat mode (for summer, or when you want a constant flame), press the OFF button, or press and hold SET until 2 dashes appear on the screen.

Flame won't auto-off

When thermostat mode is disabled, the flame will not turn off automatically — you'll need to manually push the OFF button.

Manual Operation (Dead Batteries)

If the batteries in the remote receiver or wall thermostat are dead, you'll need to turn the gas fireplace on manually.

Check the pilot light

Check whether the pilot light is on. If it is, skip to the last step.

Set valve to PILOT

Turn the knob on the gas control (valve control) to PILOT.

Light the pilot

Push the control knob all the way in and hold it. Immediately press the piezo igniter until the pilot lights.

Set valve to ON

Turn the gas control to the ON position.

Turn the flame on

With the pilot lit, press the ON/OFF switch to ON to turn the flame on.

Flame & Fan Controls

  • Flame control — High and Low.
  • Fan speed — High and Low.

Keep things clear

The unit can burn items if they're too close — similar to the heated baseboards around the cabin. Keep furniture and objects away from the gas fireplace and the electric heat baseboards.
